If you use LinkedIn or any of the other popular job or networking websites, you may have seen the photos on people's profiles. Some look great, but others…well, let's just say they would benefit from a little professional help.
Your photo is extremely important because it is displayed on your profile and on every message you send. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what is your picture (or lack of one) saying about you?
Photos make a lasting impression. They do more than put a name with a face. They communicate who you are, what your background is, what you have
|
been doing, where you want to go, and even what you are capable of doing. They support and extend the "branding" of you. They help networking contacts, recruiters, and potential employers remember you.
When a potential employer looks at your profile photo, they will be thinking, "Could this person do the job? Is it a good match?" Your photo should show you at your best, doing or able to do the job that you want.
Having no photo or a poor photo can make the difference between an interview and a pass-over, especially when the job market is tight and there are many candidates and few openings.

Professional "head shots", as they are called, can be quite expensive. If done in a studio, they can easily cost $200 to $300 or even more. As important as they are, in a bad economy or when you are out of work, the cost can be prohibited.
Fortunately, there is a way around this without sacrificing quality.
For a limited time, John Hill, of Tigerhill Studio, is offering a discounted price on professional head shots
to groups of 10 or more. John has over 30 years of experience taking photos of all kinds around Chicago and across the Nation and the quality of his work is outstanding.

Tigerhill's LinkedIn Photo Package costs $75 per person and includes 3 to 6 shots (or poses) of each person. These will be available for immediate viewing on a laptop. Each person will be able to choose one photo for the above price, but more can be purchased for an additional fee, also quite reasonable. Your photo will be processed to the correct size, resolution, and orientation for use on LinkedIn. You will be able to download your image from John's website, then upload it to LinkedIn.
Additional photos, prints, enlargements, and professional retouching by a Photoshop artist are also available, for an extra cost. If your group meets in Chicago or the Suburbs, and if you group has enough space, John will bring his camera equipment, lights, PC, and backdrop to your location and take photos of your group right there, at no additional charge.
